How Does The Process Work To Give A Baby Up For Adoption?
Deciding to give your baby up for adoption can be stressful. Adoption is a courageous choice and an act of love. Coming to this page and trying to learn more about the process shows that you are on track. Understanding the process is the most crucial step.
At ACF Adoptions, we walk by your side as you make the decisions that are right for you and your child. You will be in complete control of any decision taken throughout the entire adoption process.
Deciding on a plan
The next thing to decide is the kind of relationship you would like to have with your baby and the adoptive family.
There are three adoption plans available:
- Open adoption
- Semi-Open adoption and
- Closed adoption
The caring and knowledgeable adoption professionals at ACF Adoptions help you make the best-informed choice. Our goal is to help you understand the adoption options available to you so that you can make the best decision for you and your baby.
Choose an adoptive family that suits you and your baby!
We have a long list of hopeful pre-screened and pre-approved adoptive parents. Their profiles will have photo albums, videos, and other information about their home, hobbies, background, etc., so you can choose the best family for your baby.
It ensures that your baby will be safe and thrive in their home and family. We at ACF Adoptions can help set up in-person meetings. Eventually, you can choose the adoptive parents with whom to place your baby.
Getting financial help
As a birth mother, you can get financial help during pregnancy and up to six weeks postpartum. It includes:
- Medical care
- Transportation bill
- Maternity clothing
Post-birth and post-adoption
After delivery, birth mothers can find it hard to get back to their previous life. We have a support group meeting with our caring adoption counselors twice a month, offering support.
All the information you process from our social workers and our blogs, helps you choose the best adoption plan for your child.
